I used to be a rich man (Pt II) - The Paranoid Android

I used to be a rich man (Pt II)
The next Item on my todo list: Shopping. Misty is missing some of the finer things of (british) life, like krackawheat, custard creams, and Airwaves. To ease her withdrawal, I said I'd mail her a care package, plus some misc items of clothing she left behind. Sainsburys have changed their rewards card to "nectar"... I need to transfer my points over by November 15th. The pack says I should register online, and as an incentive (like I need one) you get 100 bonus points. I go to their website and it informs me "due to demand, you will not be able to register online." What sort of idiots are these people? Surely they must have an idea of how many people are going to sign up?

I go to the post office with my goodies and look for a suitable container to send to Misty. There aren't really any, so I end up with a semi-suitable container, and there are a couple items of shopping that i couldn't fit inside. So no jasmine tea hun - I'm sorry. The post office was almost empty!... but I didn't want to box up the goodies there .. so I bring the container back to the office to pack, and I wrap it up with brown paper and string! I then walk back to the post office. There are only 2 people in front of me in the queue, which is a small miracle. Unfortunately that is where my luck runs out. I get "trainee boy" at the counter. It took him about 20 minutes to get the right amont of stamps and the documentation for mailing this parcel correct.

When I get back I have a voice mail from the bank. After an initial panic (they couldn't marry up the sort code and branch - nice to know my bank isn't the only one with sort code problems) they confirmed that the money has been wired. Work intervened again, but only briefly. All tasks for today have been done, my todo list is empty. I can finally calm down.

You are so addicted. Anyone who can drink mudpuddle-tea with a smile is certifiable junkie. ;p
