...musings of a mechanically depressed robot...
The sun was shining brightly this morning. It was warm enough to put the top of the boat down! We went into town for breakfast (yes I know - very lazy) and Gary had cheeseburger and chips, for breakfast, nuff said really. We stopped off at a shop we remembered from the last time we was here, and it was a poor shadow of it's former self. There was nothing much to get there, althought I did find a long nozzled lighter (for candles) that I have been searching for years to find. Strange how you find the strangest stuff when you are not actually looking for it. There was a pool just behind the shop, and although I was tempted to go swiming, I didn't (Gary didn't want to either) and I have got a cold, so swimming might not be a good idea. We set off again up the river til we got to Beccles. It had started rainning yet again, but it did stop long enough for us to moor up without getting wet. We set off into town. I managed to get a dark(ish) mug so I dont have to drink out of the silly little cups that are in to boat. It's surprisingly difficult to find dark coloured mugs that are dark on the *inside* as well as the outside! I think it is a conspiricy against me. While we was in town it started to rain again. Not just gentle rain either this time - *BIG* rain! We both got drown I did manage to find an excellent ska album in the Woollies there. We have bought a couple bottles of evil beer, and some nice beer to wash it down. When we got back to the boat it stopped rainning again. That's sods law for you. We will have to wait till about 1 or 2 pm tomorrow to travel further up river as there is a damn low bridge in Beccles, and we have to wait for low tide to get through. I ended up watching a lot of television. Gary is a telly addict. If possible he is worse than La-La. Everytime we stop he has to put the telly on. I find it distracting, to say the least. I did get to see "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" yesterday though, so I guess it's not all bad! My cold is in full swing now, I'm sure the cold shower at lunchtime didn't help any.

lol! I *so* know. I had a bitch of a time trying to find the black mug I got for you here. They should make more dark mugs, honestly... Can't see the coffee/tea stains on the inside. rofl
