Normal service has resumed. - The Paranoid Android — LiveJournal
...musings of a mechanically depressed robot...
Normal service has resumed.
It was a busy weekend.

Misty and I busted our collective arses cleaning the house for our Games Night.  This started Friday night and continued Saturday morning.  By mid afternoon the house was looking about as good as it ever has.

I bought Misty a tree.

The games night went well (I think) and I had a great time.  JAP, Big Ade, nualaDora, Andrew, and Jough(Joe?) were in attendance.  Big Ade surprised us all with his knowledge of the "Terracotta Army" which finally won it for our team.  JAP and Ade managed to get through a hell of a lot of pizza!

Sunday we visited mum for Mothers Day.  Jim popped in to see us - it was nice to see him (and Diana) and for mum to see him.

Sunday evening was completely devoid of chores... I am such a bad boy.

Monday saw the return of my boss, Whavy, from Holiday.  Tuesday I worked from home so the nice people from ntl: could install cable TV.  I was caught by surprise when they turned up shortly after 08:00!

Whavy has been of sick since Tuesday - so I am my own boss again!

I have been fathoming the intricacies of controlling pivot tables from VBA.  What a PITA!  To make things worse, the source data is not held in the spreadsheet, but in a database.  My brain is aching.

Tonight is "Happy Hour" night.  That'll solve my brain ache - at least until tomorrow.

There's no freezing live TV on tnl yet.

I did the cable thing because it was only £2.50 :)

I'm not sure if you played Trivial Pursuit, because it's not mentioned - but, are there different versions of the game, such as a UK version? I would imagine so.. right?

It was trivial pursuit! I'm sure it is a UK version as all the political and pop culture questions were pretty UK centric.

There are more versions by the day ...
