Somebody kill me now!
Day two back at work... and things have not improved much at all. This morning I managed to get a bit of work done, but I find I have forgotten almost everything I was doing... it took me 5 goes, and 3 password attempts to get into the report writer!

Whavy and I had our weekly 1:1 where I was given a handful of tasks, most of which need to be completed by today, tomorrow and the day after. Friday is going to be busy, it's business day 4 and all that entails. I can't wait for the weekend to arrive.

Last night was very pleasant... well, apart from one of the cats using our sofa as a litter box again. They will be spending the foreseeable future in the kitchen unless we are up and in the house. Misty and I played cribbage, and for a nice change I won! Whenever we used to play, Misty would always beat me at cribbage, and I would beat her at Yahtzee. We hadn't played it for a while so the rules were a bit of a mystery for a while. That has nothing to do with my winning.

I listened to the second episode of the Ricky Gervais' podcast on the way into work this morning... I really must stop doing this, my inane grin and outbursts of giggles will get me committed! I can not believe anyone is quite as stupid as Karl Pilkington acts.

I've also subscribed to Steve Gibson's "Security Now." I've been reading this guys website for years... and was surprised to see his name crop up in the iTunes window. The host of the program is a little condescending at times, but the topics I've heard so far have been interesting. The WEP and MAC address filtering exposé was a real shocker! (I currently use both on my home WiFi network)

Ah well - time to get beck to the world of work.

Current Mood: busy busy
Current Music: Midge Ure & Ultravox - Fade To Grey

It kind of does, actually. If I'd remembered how the game was played, I would have put different cards into the pot on the first hand & you wouldn't have gotten such a sizable lead. I thought about asking for a restart, but that would have looked like sour grapes. You still only just beat me. :P

...in all games except poker.

Maybe that's why I suck at Yahtzee.
