15 years, top 100, steaming wank
I recently completed 15 years or service at work. I wrote a recap of those 15 years yesterday backdated so it won't spam any friends pages. It's currently friends only as public posting of work stuff seems to be becoming an increasingly bad idea. This is probably a work in progress... there is so much that has happened in those 15 years that it will take another 15 to write them up! I think I will go back an add more as and when the mood takes me... a kind of poor man's autobiography.

I also copied the full top 100 albums list from the channel 4 website in case they change their content/links.

This morning I managed to leave my umbrella and gloves on a train. I am still incredibly pissed off by my own ineptitude.

I spent far too long playing Neverwinter Nights on the laptop last night. I would like to blame the kittens. Max fell asleep on my mouse arm and wasn't worried by it's constant movement. Scarlet lay across the bottom of the laptop, just below the keys. I guess she liked the warmth it gave off. I played until gone 1 only because I didn't want to disturb them. Really.

Late night TV is a complete vacuum of intelligence. If it's not plastic surgery gone mad it's "footballers wives extra" - what an enormous pile of steaming wank. I have never had a stronger urge to hunt down the scriptwriters of a program and cut off little dangly bits until they realise what they are serving up to the nation. The fact that there are enough people watching this crap to make it economically viable makes me sick to my stomach.

Current Mood: busy busy
Current Music: too busy to hear anything.

So, if you were playing until "gone 1," why was it after 2 before you came to bed? :)

Between gone 1 and gone 2 I was cleaning out the litter trays and taking the rubbish out.

Of course - technically gone 2 *IS* gone 1

So much for the "Go to bed at a sensible hour so I can get up at a sensible hour" idea..

It was more sensible than staying up all night!

True, but even though I'm staying up later & later, I still only get to fall asleep beside my husband on Friday & Saturday nights generally. And that just sucks.

AGREED! My husband plays EQ past my bedtime every night, DAMMIT! *whaps him*

Fortunately, that means I get to take up more of the bed and by the time he comes to join me, I'm too asleep to move. MWAH-HAHAHAHA-HAAAAAAAAA!

HA! I know I sleep on his side until he comes to bed, but I apparently always move over when he walks into the bedroom. Sometimes I wake up & realize I'm doing it (and that's when I notice the time), but I think most nights I don't.

I know that feeling, but not the solution, so this is a bit of a pointless comment.

But but - it was the kitties fault! O:-)

Tch. Don't even try blaming those sweet kittens for your habits. :P

Computer gaming is my #1 cause for lack of sleep.

Picked up a few cheap RPGs this weekend and played through them during this week, I am dreading the release of Guild Wars tomorrow because I know it's going to suck up my life like WoW, FFXI, EQ1, and EVE did (EVE still kills my time, level 5 mining barges) and I'm probably never going to find a new job because of them.

I need to find some balance.

The magic balance! - I sometimes wonder if it would not be easier to invent a 34 hour day... plenty time to get some work done between all the gaming!

just need to convince work that out of a 34 hour day I still should only be there for 8 hours! :)

A 34 hour day would be nice, then I'd have 28 hours for gaming, 5 hours for sleeping, and an hour for attempting to do work.

Yea I had to quit playing UO so that I could actually attend college. Not only was I playing 25 hours a day but I had my own UO player server I was maintaining and GMing on the side, lol.

The fact that there are enough people watching this crap to make it economically viable makes me sick to my stomach.

I have a dreadful secret. We watch it. (I say we. Andrew, of all people, got me into watching it. Sometimes I wonder about my husband.) Not because we think it's good, but because we're fascinated by the utter rubbish that they manage to think of next. Now that Tanya (the bitchy manipulative blonde) is gone, I find myself going off it again. But seriously, it's so utterly bad that it's funny. You're right. We shouldn't encourage them.
