Holiday. - The Paranoid Android
...musings of a mechanically depressed robot...
My last day at work this week! Tomorrow I set of for the south coast for a short break. Misty and I are staying in a little fishing village that I used to visit when I was a wee boy.

Visiting places I last visited many years ago is always a shock, either pleasant or not so pleasant. Places always seem smaller and lose that mystic charm that is created in a child's mind. On the other hand a grown mind appreciates subtleties that a child would grow bored with in moments. There is always nostalgia to fall back on.

I need to draw up a list of "things to do" for my sister who has kindly agreed to look after our house while we are gone.

On a side note; this song has almost brought me to tears. I'm glad there's no bugger in the office at the moment to see me.

Current Mood: sad sad
Current Music: Moby - Harbour

Awwwwwwwwwww...I can't even *imagine* you in tears!!!

I hope you and Misty have a WONDERFUL time exploring your memories. I know what you mean about things never seeming as big and magical when you go back to them...that's why you take the one you love. To make new magical memories to replace the old ones with. :oD

Love you both!!!!!

You can't? You think me so heartless to be never moved to tears? (just kidding mom!)

There are few physical things I'd cry about... but I'm a sucker for sadness. There are several films (or moments in films) and more than a few songs that can bring me to tears, and a solid lump to my throat. The very purpose of such film moments/songs is to manipulate your feelings - so a well crafted one will have that effect. Of course - that's just my opinion ;)

LOL! Not heartless...just very reserved. Although come to think of it, I have seen you smile and laugh and be very silly...so it was silly to think you wouldn't cry.

*whaps self*

I'm so glad the two of you are back...I missed the place on my friends list that used to be filled with your thoughts and experiences and day-to-day stuff. It was very quiet!!!!!!!!! I didn't like it.

How are the kitties??

The kitties obviously missed us... Sam was never more than 2 paces away from me all evening once we were home and Twinks slept in a ball between Misty and me all night. Neither seemed particularly happy this morning when we left, but I'm sure they'll be happier when we return tonight.

I blame my mum. It was she who told me I needed to check it out with such passion - "Be sure to visit the apple shop"

I did have a lovely break - and I'm sure you wouldn't really want to spend hours in one of my suitcases.

We did wave towards Wales when we reached Bath... Okay we didn't but we *thought* it and that's what counts.
