I've got the lurgie
Yesterday was a good day. Roy at work was telling us that the official work policy was we need not come back in the afternoon if we miss no deadlines, and we make the time up later. JT had scouted out the various pubs in Romford, and found Brannegans to be the most suitable venue.

Misty joined us to watch her first ever game of football! ... What a game to start with!

12:15 found us slightly packed, but with a clear view of a TV screen in Brannegans, along with 700-800 others .... I think they must have topped 1,000 by the time the game was underway.

I managed to miss the only goal, by being at the bar (I though 10-odd minutes before half time to be a good time to go get a drink - before the rush and all that!) I had to return with my pockets full of beer bottles, and hands full of glasses through a pogo-ing mob. But I was very happy anyway - and managed to make it back to our group with all the contents still inside the various containers.

The last 15-20 minutes were a complete nightmare. But after what seemed an eternity, the whistle was blown and we all pogo-ed around the pub once again!

Not feeling like returning to work just yet JT, Misty, Stoneman and myself went to get a decent drink at the Spoon's. After JT and Stoneman decided to return to work for an hour or so, Misty and I had our 3rd Noooodles of the week, this time starting with shredded duck pancakes before a main meal of chilli beef in black bean sauce and Thai rice.

We returned to the Spoons, found a table, and were met by Peter (who had money stolen from him in Brennegans), Stu, and JT. After a few more drinks we returned home, very happy and quite a bit merry!

We watched the Green Mile last night. I'd not seen this, and it was not in any way like I'd imagined it to be. I guess I'd completely failed to let it register that it was a Stephen King idea. If you haven't seen it - I'd recomend it.

This morning I've woken up with the lurgie! .... I found little spots over the back of one of my hands, and then, to my dismay, discovered more in other areas too. They don't hurt, or even itch very much, so I have no idea what they are. I'll have to see if they disappear, or I might go to the quackman on Monday.

Current Mood: Spotty
Current Music: The 60's Decade.

The Green Mile is one of my favorite movies. Also, a couple others you might want to see in case you haven't are: A Few Good Men and The Shining.
It's nice to hear that you two are doing so well. Congrats! :)

I have seen both... I got a little bored of "A Few Good Men" .. my dad watched it non stop for 3 months ... I knew it line by line! ... But it's still a good film. The Shining is fantastic - my favourite Jack Nicholson film. Scared the hell out of me the first time I saw it. :)
