Sleeping sickness?
I don't know wtf is wrong with my body clock, but i fell asleep yesterday at 4:00pm ... and woke up at 5 this morning. I'm just starting to feel tired again .... It did mean I got to watch a lot of really stupid late night/early morning TV which was really worth it </sarcasm>

I have just looked back at my LJ and realised I haven't really updated in over a week. This might have something to do with the total lack of inspiration my life is giving me for writing!! Work has been slow and as interesting as watching paint dry. Life outside work has been sitting on line trying not to fall asleep. That's no measure of the quality of the conversation, ... it's more to do with the fact I spend my whole life in front of a computer screen.

Interesting facts from this past week:
This is the first time I've been online for 4 days! ... a record for me.
Thursday was the only day I took a lunch.
No football, pool, snooker played.
10 hours overtime in 4 days (and Tuesday was a short day)
I might have an ulser
CSC desktop services contract finished Thursday.

Wednesday night the auditors took us out for a drink and a meal. I find it funny that they add the cost of this to our bill. I was not up for a Indian Curry, so I made my excuses early .. and phoned Misty for a couple hours. I also gave Jim a call to find out how he is. He's still a little upset ... but he's holding his own. I should remember to call him more often.

Thursday night I met the "Super's" ... a group of us that met on a course at work a couple years back now. At one time there was 8 or 9 of us ... on Thursday there was 3 (plus special guest Chris). After a few beers we sampled the delights of the local noodle bar. When I got home (via an expensive cab) I ended the night with another call to Misty.

Yesterday I woke up late (and slightly hung over) to find my mother and sister have got themselves a little job to do at home. They are making cardboard wallets for promotion bumph from a recruitment agency. We have over 1000 flat packed bits of card, and they need to fold them into shape, sticking bits together with doublesided sticky tape. All very Bluepeter!! Thing is - it's taking them sooo long to do it. They'll only get £15 for the 1,000 ... and so far it's taken them a day n a half to do about half of that. I dread to think what that works out to as an hourly rate.
So being the kind of person I am, I put about 150 together yesterday. So now I have no skin on one of my fingers, and cardboard cuts on my hands, and the pile of cardboard still left to do still looks like a mountain.

Clock's go forward 1 hour tonight .... British Summer Time (that's daylight saving(?) time according to my puter ... I wonder how sodding around with the clocks saves daylight.)

Well ... that was my week ... I hope your's was better ...

In a way, I s'pose it's good that you've been sleeping so much. You'll need lots of energy in about 7 weeks, 3 hours, 17 minutes, and 30 seconds. :D

what exactly is snooker??

Snooker is a bit like pool, only played on a 12' table with 15 red balls and 6 colours (yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black.) Both the balls and the pockets are smaller than a standard pool table. The object is to score more points than your opponent. You have to pot a red ball (worth 1 point) before you can pot a colour (worth between 2-7 points). the colour ball is replaced on the table and a red ball is potted again. When all the reds have been potted, the colours must be potted in order (as above).

A "snooker" is when you can't hit the ball you are aiming for directly. If you miss a ball your opponent gets 4 points, or the value of the ball (s)he hit instead, whichever is the larger.

That's snooker in a nut shell :)
