I got an email today from a dart/dartboard website a bit like this:

The shaft at the bottom hit me in the eye like a dart!

The longer I looked at it - the more my brain started to wonder if there was an alternative spelling for "marry" - so I hit google:

I was feeling slightly better when I saw the Did you mean: marry me, but then I saw this website:

I weep for the future of mankind.

	what ever happened to spell check?

maybe one of my 12 year old students has a part time job designing for a dart manufacturer. ;)

i'm pretty lax with writing conventions (hello, lack of capitalization!) but even i would be reluctant to embark on a lustrous life-long adventure with someone whose proposal involved "marrie me" paraphernalia.

There really is a lot of it going about (unless Google is lying to me) - so I did start to wonder if there's song or film or something that's started this.

What troubles me even more than the spelling is that they're offering special pricing when one orders more than 20 sets....

I have this image of someone throwing darts into a board as a method of choosing a future husband/wife: number 5 will you marrie me? no? okay. number 12 will you marrie me? no? okay... Ad Infinitum. :)

So I guess you might need twenty sets then!
