the long overdue update...
I have been meaning to update for the last couple of days but never seem to have the time to get around to it. So this is probably going to be quite a long one...

The flight over was okay... apart from the ma-hoo-sive queue at the check in. We had just about enough time to grab a bite to eat before making our way to the gate. When we arrived there Misty was informed that her bag had come open. We where to wait until a guy came up so we could check the contents. He never showed so we were the last to board the plane.

I had a lousy cold and managed to get through 6 packs of tissues before the flight was over. The changes in pressure and dry air made the journey painful in the extreme. My eyes were watering most of the way over.

We landed a few minutes late and managed to get through immigration together (I usually queue as a visitor, but we asked if I could queue with Misty this time... and they said yes!) The citizen queue goes a lot faster as they don't ask you all those stupid questions... they did get my finger prints and picture though.

Daddy has a new truck! A V8 no less! The journey home* was pretty univentful. Between then and now we have spent some time at Daddy's and Mommy's. The journeys between have varied somewhat. The journey from the mountains a couple nights ago was the most memorable. It had snowed - just a light dusting - but the temperature was close to single digits (farenheit) and some of the snow on the road was frozen. Mountains are not known for their flatness... so once or twice we had problems getting up somewhere - the wheels would turn but the car wouldn't move. It was a little intense! luckily the other side of the mountain (the bit we drove down - all 3000 feet of it) was clear - some of those roads are steep... and the drop on one side is something I just don't want to contemplate.

So far I've had two sets of presents! Seems it's Chrimbo almost every other day here! Misty has shopped her butt off. Misty and I have nice warm coats now (a pressent from Mum, Dad, Jo and Nan - thanks :) which was more than handy when the temperatures dropped. With the wind chill it was below zero.

Misty's ring went into the jewelers day before yesterday to make sure the gy from eBay wasn't conning her... so far it looks good - the diamond is real! We will find out the rest when we get back to Daddy's.

Another reason for my lack of updates has been this computer. I'm not quite sure how, but it had aquired a virus, a trojan, and so much spyware I'm surprised it had the will to live. I have spent about 15-20 hours cleaning the damn thing. The updated virus software now runs in memory (it was disabled and refused to enable for an age). I've updated and run adaware and that reports a clean machine.

I have even managed to squeeze in an hour or two of EVE whilst I was here! Happy christmas! :)

*home has many definitions. Misty declared home as being the place we were heading to.

Christmas wishes to you all........

Hello everybody. It was great to read your post James. I've been checking in everyday in the hope that you'd post. Glad you got your coats. (Debenhams lost a good customer eh?) We've not got it as cold as you have but it's blowing a gale here. There have been so many serious accidents where huge trucks have been blown over on the motor ways. The main road from London to Scotland has been bocked for nearly two days. It's really terrible.
Bianca has to go to bed soon and she would like to leave you a message.......
how are you doing jamie just wanted to say hi toyou pam misty and the famialy and to wish you a merry christmas anyway bye!
Well my sweetie, hope you all have a great time. Love'n'hugs to all. Special love to Pam. Tell her I miss her like mad! See you and Misty soon. Love you both. BBFN xxxx

Ah yes, gotta love the divorced parental units. Christmases all over the place. Ain't it great (except all the driving). Also, always go through the shortest line at immigration. Because you're married, you can do that. :D
