And then I knocked a wall down...
After finally getting home on Saturday, I met dad in my kitchen!

I had arranged for him to come over and move the stove top. We want a radiator in the kitchen on the wall that *will* be cupboard-less when we have the kitchen done... We can't get the kitchen done until we move the gas boiler. The moving of the gas boiler and the installation of the new radiators are done by the same people. Can you type "catch 22"?

Dad and I take the nasty tiles off the walls around the stove top. He chops the base unit in half and we move the stove up enough (I hope) to fit the rad on the wall. I should point out we have borrowed a nice little power tool from my dad's brother (who shall be know hence forth as "Mr Power Tools") There does not seem to be a power tool this man doesn't own. This particular tool is like a hammer drill - but has a setting so the "bit" won't spin. It doubles very ably as a pneumatic drill... and great fun it is too!

After running out of lead (and me not owning an extension cord) we decide to clean the crap up (that drill fires bits of tile *everywhere!*) and pop to the 'rents for some extra bits. On the way back (well - not really on the way) we pop into the pub. The idea was - a couple beers to chill over. It never goes to plan does it?

Dad and I stagger back to mum's (with pizza and kebab and stuffs) about 5 minutes to 10. After eating myself to a state of sickness I stagger back here. I then have a long and deep conversation with Misty on the phone (cos I'm too hammered to type) of which my only memory is repeating myself a lot. Misty tells me I was charming... I think she's lying to protect my feelings... she's good to me.

Sunday Morning Dad arrives nice and early (before 12) and armed with tools and an extension cord and everything. We strip two more walls of tiles (with my head pounding with each hammer of this damn tool). The kitchen now resembles war torn Europe, but it's all in a good cause...
