Workday from hell.
After calling the damn PC people and finding they STILL haven't sent my new PC out I got into work about half an hour late. The day from hell had started, and it was all down hill from there.

First a call from David so I could explain how the conversion tool worked. He suggested a meeting in town this afternoon, about 2 o'clock. I spent the rest of the morning fixing a bug in the conversion database.
After a quick lunch I set off for Thames Court. I arrived almost exactly at 2:00 ... not bad going really, about the only thing that went to plan today.

The rest of the afternoon and a big chunk of the evening was spent moulding the database into the sort of tool the boys up town want it to be. Shaun was very stressed out, and pretty much kept to his own corner, but David and Wayne kept me busy until about 7:30 with modifications. David’s PC was being a complete arse, and the screen was about >this< close to taking flying lessons. I'd love for this to be the end of it all, but I'll be working there all day tomorrow too. 9:30 start at Thames Court... That calls for a start a whole lot earlier than I'm used to.

As I'm almost totally wasted at the mo (and unlike Tony I've not had a drop of the good stuff) I think I'll hit the sack in half an hour.

As a side note, it was St George’s day today: The patron saint of England. Apart from the property business management of Thames Court I didn't see a single sign of anyone making the effort to even remember what today was, let alone celebrate it. If I had been in Romford all day (as I had planned to be) I would have spent a couple hours in the Spoons drinking Spitfire at 99p a pint.

But ... as they say... the best laid plans of mice and men...
