On the road to fitness....
Misty arrived on Saturday Morning! After turning up at the wrong terminal (as seems to be the case more times that not!) at Gatwick, a short chat with the information desk put me in the right direction. Misty called my mobile whilst travelling to the North Terminal, so I said we'd meet her by the train. After nearly missing her we managed to get a train carriage all to ourselves for the trip back to the South Terminal where the car was parked.

After a quick nap and things we went to Elm Park station to meet Izzy. She'd been waiting there for about 35 minutes, but didn't want to bother us by calling.... even though we explicitly said to call if she arrived and we wasn't there. We popped into my 'rents so Misty could say "Hi!" and stuff .... so Izzy had the dubious "pleasure" of meeting my folks and the Spawn of Satan. DS was remarkably well behaved, and my folks didn't embarrass me too much.

A trip to the noodle bar (hmmmmm noooooodles) and then on to the Albert. Amber (the Manager there) has been given her notice and the pub is under new management from today. Amber was a tad drunk when we got there, as was about half of the locals. Almost every weirdo from miles around made an appearance Saturday night! I think I am responsible for Izzy getting drunk on Kronenburg. Sorry Izzy if you read this After a few pints an much karaoke madness we returned home for toast and J.D.

Sunday was a bit of a wipe-out, no one surfaced much before midday. Izzy left us to travel back to Belgium, Misty and I had originally planned to return to the Albert (Amber's final goodbye drinks), but I managed to convince her a night in would be better. We had good intentions of cooking pasta, but my cooking utensils put paid to that idea, so we had to order in pizza. (Oh yes - we had to ... *really*)

We watched Time Bandits and Sleepy Hollow before getting an early(ish) night.

This morning I walked into work ... the entire journey! I had intended to walk to the Roneo Corner, but when I got there, I noticed I had just missed a couple of buses so I continued along the bus route. As no buses came along until I had all but reached Romford station I walking the whole way. In about 50 minutes too! I did feel a little sticky when I got into work though - which is not exactly a great way to start a Monday - but if I do this often enough not only will I be about 100 times fitter, I hope to loose the "sticky first thing on a Monday" experience!

You looked like no such thing! You are welcome to stay at our house again any time you like.

Bianca was exceptionaly well behaved, you must be special! ;) Perhaps her devil years were just a passing fad and she'll grow up into a normal human being... but I wouldn't bet on it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it all, especially the madness of the pub. It's not always quite that bad you know!
